The beginning of the semester has seen various changes in staffing and administration. Jason McGrath, formerly of The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, has been welcomed as vice president of enrollment management in the president’s cabinet. He previously worked as Wooster’s associate provost and director of undergraduate admissions from 2002-2006.
Ashley Reid is now serving as vice president of student affairs. She has filled the role in an interim capacity for over a year, beginning in October 2023. Reid has been at The College of Wooster for 18 years, filling various roles in both administration and mentorship, including in the Posse program and the women’s basketball team.
In addition, the College welcomed Carson Kinney as the new director of strength and conditioning and as the manager of the fitness and strength centers. Previously, Kinney served as assistant coach for the Fighting Scots track and field team and held the role of assistant strength and conditioning coach. He also directed the intramural sports programs. In fall 2024, he spent a semester with Oberlin College — taking his leave from Wooster after three years of coaching the Scots — before returning this semester.
Shawn Starowesky, formerly the director of campus safety, access and emergency management, is now the director of emergency management in the president’s office.
