Scot Lanes
The last pin was to fall one day. Scot Lanes was to be ripped off from the Wooster map, its alleys torn apart, to make way for the capitalist venture of modification.
In its final days, with the $1 cover lifted as it breathed its last, scores of students gathered each evening to have a bowl.
Each drop of the ball on the tile planks was to be one more towards the end. As the Lanes grew, it grew older as well.
Alas, Scot Lanes was always misnamed. As in recent years it was host to a lone table tennis table as well, where countless matches were played for pride and good spirit. Where else would students crouch under a vending machine to look for the table tennis ball as it found its way there for the fourth time in a row?
Pool tables will now also have to find a new home. How many times have they been used, for something they weren’t supposed to? A hearty bunch, College of Wooster students over the years invented and played new games in the hallowed space — perhaps the only area where undergraduates were unmentored.
Where do they even play chess now?

Kittredge Hall
Wooster’s second dining hall exists no more. However, to some, it was always their first.
The announcement of its final days was a shock to many. However, to those who went regularly, they knew that as with all the joys in life, it too was nearing an end.
Greed, corruption and deceit, the three wholesome things that make sure childhood dreams are destroyed, are what many feel is the cause of the downfall of the great Kittredge lunch and dinner.
The answer to staffing shortages seems to be paying people equitable, living wages. While this obituary can speak at length about how our staff are perhaps the most hospitable people in the country, it will only recount the good times at Kitt.
Cheesy Thursdays, the epitome of a college diet, was a tradition only sacred to this extension of Compton Hall. Where else could one munch away on the carbs needed to prepare them for a long day of classes ahead? Where does the astronomy club even meet now?
Kitt is survived by Lowry, its envious sibling.
