What do you think about the taxing of sugary drinks?

Bree Lengacher í13

ìConsidering that thereís alternatives to sugar in drinks, we might as well tke advantage of them. If the money is going toward a good cause and kids are benefitting from this, I think itís a good idea.”

Tim Golding í11

ìI donít have a problem with the tax, but I think the larger problem is the inactivity of Americans. The real fix is more exercise and eating smarter and healthier and considering portion control.”

Rochelle Marrett í12

ìOn one hand, itís a good idea because it would reduce the likelihood of parents buying sugary drinks for their children. But it might be a bad thing too. Since healthy foods are already expensive, if this sort of food is expensive too, disadvantaged people wonít really have an option.”
