Nemsie Gonzalez ’26

I never thought I’d get so attached

Times gone by so fast

As time now bids our paths to part,

We gather here with grateful hearts

To our seniors, pillars strong,

Led the way when philosophy led us astray.

Guiding us through thoughts untamed

Feminism, Death, and Ecology too

In Model UN, you stood tall,

Navigating crises, a mother to one and all.

Your diplomacy, damn them commies

Making them call their mommies

Voice office memories

The clicking of keyboards, wooster whispers

A magic three

Your cat cries for you

I fear I will too

Too little too late

But worth it all the same

For those who revel in the field,

Kind explanations of what it all means

So many meats and speeches too

Father and friend

Mosquitos and puppet shows

The dichotomy of Orion’s constellation

Silly goofy fun and crazy

And to our sisters, in sisterhood bound,

Your presence, a joy that knows no bound.

In unity, grace, and strength

So as we bid our last goodbye,

Know that in our hearts, you’ll never die.

For in the echoes of our shared song,

Your spirit dances, forever strong.
