Civil Rights and Title IX Coordinator Chelsea Polly shared September’s campus climate notification on Oct. 15. She also announced the introduction of an anonymous Title IX questionnaire form, of which the answers will be shared on the Title IX Inside Wooster website. During the month of September, the following incidents occurred:
- Bias incidents: five reports
- Alcohol incidents: four reports
- Drug incidents: two reports
- Sexual assault: two reports
- Stalking: two reports
- Dating violence: one report
- Gender discrimination: one report
The new lockout policy, which states that a student must undergo a new formal process after being locked out of their dorm more than four times in a semester, began on Oct. 14. After the fourth lockout, students will have a required meeting with Residence Life staff. The fifth lockout results in a $15 fee and the sixth lockout and onward will result in a $25 fee. There is also a fee waiver and appeal process. The fee waiver applies to certain outstanding circumstances, including fire alarms, personal emergencies and if a floor Resident Assistant lets in a student from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Appeals will be considered for these circumstances listed above. The service house application deadline is set for Nov. 15 for 2025-26.
Class registration for seniors begins next week, Oct. 21 to 23. Junior registration will follow suit. Open enrollment begins on Nov. 18. Seniors must also register for graduation on Ellucian Self-Service by Nov. 1.
Director of Campus Sustainability Brian Webb shared recycling information on Oct. 14. Webb instructed students to use waste bins outside of classrooms instead of inside classrooms and how students can recycle on campus. On Oct. 17, Webb also shared a form where students who drive electric vehicles (EV) can sign up for email updates about information relevant to EV drivers.
