Anis Mojgani, two-time National Poetry Slam Champion and winner of the International World Cup Poetry Slam, will be perfoming at the College Underground on Monday at 6 p.m. The event is sponsored by the Slam Club, an organization formed last semester.
Pretzels, popcorn and soda will be served.
Mojgani, a New Orleans native who now lives in Austin, Tex., has been a featured poet on HBO’s “Def Poetry,” NPR and has performed in front of the United Nations.
He is a founding member of the touring Poetry Revival, which features other well-known performance poets Buddy Wakefield and Derrick Brown. The Revival has toured college campuses and arts centers in various formations since 2007, last year under the name “The Nite Kite Revival.”
