The win over Ohio Wesleyan (2-18, 0-7 NCAC) was the Scots’ second in just as many days. On Friday night, the Scots also swept Oberlin College 3-0 (25-21, 25-15, 25-11) in Timken Gymnasium behind a season-high 12 service aces.

After the two squads went back and forth, Wooster built up a four-point lead with the help of a momentum-changing kill by Erin Webster ’13. She would lead the Scots with eight kills in the match, followed by Parker with six.

In the second set, Lizzie Beal ’12 turned the Scots’ 14-11 lead into 22-11 behind her eight straight service points, three of which were aces.

The Scots would go on to win that set 25-19. By the time the third set had arrived, it seemed Oberlin had already packed their bags for their ride home.

Wooster built an 8-0 lead and never looked back, closing out the set and the match 25-11.

Beal finished with four kills and added 23 assists in the contest. Parker and Beal paced Wooster’s serving blitzkrieg each with four aces, while Devin Grandi ’13 (2 aces), Kelley Johnson ’13 (1 ace), and Melissa Morgan ’13 (1 ace) also helped.

So far in the conference season, Wooster’s only two losses came against Kenyon College and rival Wittenberg University.

They’ll have a chance at redemption when they play both schools again, facing Kenyon on Oct. 22 and Wittenberg on Oct. 27. Both contests will be played in Timken Gymnasium.

Wooster’s next match is tomorrow, when they will travel to Oberlin for a play day against both Oberlin College and Allegheny College.

The Scots will finish out regular season play at Hiram College (14-9 5-1 NCAC) on Oct. 30.
