Pastor Terry Jones will be expecting a bill from the city of Gainesville, Florida of an estimated $180,000 for security costs surrounding his controversial threat to burn Korans on the anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks, according to CNN.com.† The police spent over a month working on security plans to ensure the community surrounding the planned site of the burning was safe. The Gainesville Police Department said it spent more than $100,000 while the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office spent an estimated $80,000.
