One of our photographers spotted Tom Loughead í10 in the arch on a brisk fall afternoon. Tom was nice enough to answer our questions, concerning his classic, timeless, casual apparel.

You have such a put-together look, but it still sort of appears effortless. How much time do you spend planning what youíll wear?

I really donít put a lot of time or thought into what I wear on a daily basis. However, when I dress formally for special occasions it takes some forethought to maintain that hint of nonchalance. I donít want to look like I care too much.

What is your favorite article of clothing?

I have a seersucker jacket that I really like but rarely wear. Iíve considered crashing summer weddings and country club functions just to have more opportunities to wear it.

Who taught you to press your shirts? I’ve never seen a wrinkle on anything you’ve ever worn.

I taught myself to iron out of necessity. It all started when I had to get ready for a middle school dance while my parents were out with my brother and sister. It was either learn to iron or look slightly disheveled ó needless to say the stakes were very high. It was a proverbial baptism by fire.
