After surviving the first two weeks of the semester, it’s finally time to celebrate. Join the fun provided by Wooster Activities Crew (WAC) and dance the night away at the bi-annual Party On The Green. On Sat., Sept. 9th from 7:30 to 11:00 p.m. on the Residential Quad you can find an array of student musicians and this year’s showcased bands, not to mention the endless supply of free food.

As one of the most anticipated events on campus, this year is set out to impress. The Saturday night stage will continue to showcase not only student performers, but also bands originating from California and Colorado. Representing alternative rock, The Mowgli’s, based in Calabasas, Calif., will be performing at Wooster’s biggest party of the year, along with Savoy, an electronic rock trio established in Boulder, Colo.

Featuring their newest song “How U Like Me Now,” Savoy is counting on an epic dance show. Through its original style, Savoy blends rock ’n’ roll, techno, dance and bass music, making for an experience you won’t want to miss. Mostly acknowledged for their popular hits “Pump It Up,” “Let You Let Me” and “Leaving You,” this laser light performance is one for the books. After their newest album released this past June titled Tomorrow Today Pt. 1 (The Remixes), you will want to bring your best dance moves to the Quad.

Headlining with their freshest album “Where’d Your Weekend Go,” The Mowgli’s are taking on Wooster. Mostly known for their popular songs “San Francisco,” “I’m Good” and “Say It, Just Say It,” this group refers to themselves as “the quintessential California band.” This indie-rock group combines pop, “garage rock” and folk for their mellow but upbeat vibe. Focused on producing inspiring music, The Mowgli’s are one of a kind.

Bring a friend and stop by the Residential Quad this Saturday from 7:30-11:00 p.m. for dancing, free food and live entertainment. Kick off the semester right with this year’s Party On The Green!
